IF YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD


CLAIM password : If you forget your CLAIM password, you need to contact the CIS 
                 help desk personnel in any Open Access lab. 
                 Take your ID card with you.


Any other password : If you forget your password to ACS, UNIX or MODEM, you can
                     change it in CLAIM by following the below mentioned steps :



	1. Enter CLAIM.

	2. Asks for Student ID or Social Security #. Enter it.

	3. Asks for CLAIM password. Enter it.

	4. Lists menu options. Choose "5. Password Subsystem". Enter 5 and hit return.

	5. Lists Password Subsystem options.  Choose "2. Change Logon-ID password".  Enter 2 and hit return.

	6. Asks for Logon-ID. Enter it.

	7. Gives list of Computer Systems claimed by the Logon-ID. Mark 'x' by
           the system you wish to change password for and press return.

	8. Prompts you for the new password. Need to enter it twice.

        9. To exit the CLAIM system, enter 'E' and press return.

By following the above mentioned steps, the password for any University Computer Resource can be changed.
