Using Mac laptops with the Proxima projector in 108 biobio

1. Turn the laptop off. (might be enough to put it to sleep)

2. Connect the vga cable that goes to the proxima to the vga port on the laptop.

(You do not see "Arrange monitors" in the monitor control panel UNLESS an external monitor is connected to the laptop, and the laptop has been rebooted since the connection was made.)

3. Reboot the mac.

(The mac comes up in extended desktop mode, meaning the laptop screen and proxima screens show different images.)

4. Use the control strip to turn on video mirroring, which will cause the same image to be displayed on both the laptop screen and the proxima screen.

(The video mirroring icon is probably near the righthand end of the control strip. It looks like a single square (monitor) or like 2 overlapping squares, depending on whether video mirroring is on or off.)
