Using PC laptops with the Proxima projector in biobio

For least confusion, although other sequences also work:

1. Turn the laptop on.

2. Turn on the Proxima projector, if it isn't already turned on (probably is).

3. Connect the vga cable that goes to the proxima to the vga port on the laptop.

Things to try in case of no picture on projection screen:

a. Hold down the fn key and repeatedly press the F-key marked with a monitor icon (might be F5, F8, F9, or possibly others). This action will cycle the laptop's video output thru LCD only, LCD-and-external-video, external video only. LCD-and-external-video will show desktop on both projection screen and laptop screen.

b. Press the "RGB" or "computer" button on the proxima remote control to make sure that the laptop is the selected source.

c. (unlikely problem) If the picture is the wrong size, you may need to change the display resolution to 800x600. Start/ControlPanel/Display/
