REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS :

  1. Standby/On : (green in color). Used to turn on or of the power of the projector on the ceiling.
  2. RGB : Used to make computer the source for the projector.
  3. Video : Used to make VCR the source for projector.
  4. Position : Used in conjuction with the joystick to control the position of the image on the projector screen.
  5. Magnify : Used to zoom in or zoom out the image. Three buttons + and - and off for this purpose. 
  6. Volume : Used to increase or decrease the volume. Primarily used when the projector source is the VCR. 
  7. Menu : Used to adjust options like Brightness, Contrast and Volume. 
  8. Drag : Joystick that serves to select buttons under the Bold option.

How to turn ON/OFF the projector.

To turn ON the projector, point the remote to the projector in the ceiling and press the power button. Causes LED in projector to become green and the beam from projector can be seen.

To turn OFF the projector, point the remote to the projector and press the power button for 2-3 seconds.

How to connect desktop computer to the Projector.

( Connection diagrams : Room 107 Room 108 )

  1. Turn ON the computer and the computer monitor. Note that nothing will be displayed on the blackboard screen until the projector is ON.
  2. Turn ON the projector. Causes the image on computer monitor to be displayed on the screen.
  3. Make sure you press the "RGB" button on the remote. Ascertains that input to projector is from computer.
  4. In case display on blackboard screen shows test pattern rather than the image on the computer screen, press RGB button on the remote once again.

  How to connect Laptop to the Projector. (Room 107)

  1. Refer to the Laptop to Proxima section in the Proxima Connections diagram for Room 107. Remove cable (marked with blue tape and labeled "computer video") from the computer CPU and connect it to the laptop's monitor out port. Macintosh laptops will need a special adapter.
  2. Follow the same instructions as in the previous section.

 How to connect Laptop to Proxima Projector. (Room 108)

  1. Refer to the Laptop to Proxima section in the Proxima Connections diagram for Room 108. Dsiconnect the connection numbered as 4. (Between a black cable from the wall and the white cable to the computer --> connection number 4 marked on blue tape).
  2. Connect the free end of the black cable (other end to the wall) to the laptop.
  3. Follow the same instructions as in the Desktop Computer to the Projector section.
