Problem: When the projector cable is connected to MAC laptop (Black OS 9.1) and MAC is rebooted then  image appears only on the projector's screen and nothing appears on the laptop screen.

Solution:

Steps to follow in connecting a black MAC Laptop to projector in room 108:

1. Boot  the MAC laptop (OS 9.1)

2. Open apple menu -> Control Panel -> Monitors

3. Put the MAC to sleep.

4. Connect the projector cable to MAC.

5. Now wake up the MAC from sleep and push the power button.

6. You will see a VGA display box on the projector's screen.

7. Adjust the resolution on this VGA Display box to the one which has simulscan written in brackets besides the resolution dimension.
Eg: In case of MAC laptop that I worked with, the resolution dimension appeared as 800x600 (simulscan)

8. Once this resolution is chosen, we must see the image on both the laptop screen and projector's screen.
