Windows XP laptop Instructions:
How to set up a video projector from an XP laptop:
- Connect a projector to your laptop, boot the laptop in windows and
power up the projector. The projector will show its default projection.
- Go to Windows desktop, right click to properties, choose settings, then
advanced.
- Go to TwinView tab. It should be in Standard mode. At bottom, select Detect
displays, and this should work and visibly make the projector blink or shudder
and then the Device Settings option should become visible. Select it.
- Choose "Select output device" option, then at that screen,
select the Analog monitor, hit ok, then ok again when it gives you the last
rites, and then after a dark period on both laptop and projector, should get
windows on the projector.
To get the video on the laptop screen too:
- Go to TwinView and select Clone. Then OK and OK again, and after another
dark period, Windows should be on both.
To get back to normal, power off the projector or unplug it from the
computer.
