Updating your email alias

Easiest way:

Go to the BBCC and use Netscape on one of the machines.

In Netscape:
Go to the tamu home page (probably the default location that opens
up). Address is http://www.tamu.edu/ in any case.

1. Click on the phone button on the picture of A&M stuff.
2. In the form that opens up, fill in your official name, click "Lookup".
3. Note entry at "alias" on the response that you get.
4. Go back to the tamu home page.
5. Scroll down to list entry "People/Contacts/Alumni" & click on it.
6. See "Electronic Phone Book" and click on it.
7. See list of choices, click on "Update your phonebook entry".
8. Enter your alias (from above)
9. Enter your password
(your password is probably your student id/ssn)
10. Click "Login".
11. See PH Update Form, click on "alias" in the page that appears.
12. In the form that appears, in the alias box, change the entry as you want
13. Next, click in the "email" box and change it to your acs email account, e.g.
	abc1234@acs.tamu.edu.
14. Scroll to very bottom and click "Update"

(If you choose an alias that someone else has already chosen, you can't
get it -- check in Lookup for the alias you want to choose, to be sure it is
free.)
